The Ministry of Justice notifies the transfer of 15 judges in 11 High Courts

In a major upheaval, the Ministry of Justice on Tuesday notified the transfers of 15 judges to 11 High Courts.

The transfer orders, recommended by the Supreme Court college about a fortnight ago, were posted on the Department of Justice (DoJ) website.

According to the DoJ’s list, Judge Jaswant Singh of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana was transferred to the High Court of Orissa, while Judge Sabina of Rajasthan HC was transferred to the High Court of l ‘Himachal Pradesh.

Judge Sanjaya Kumar Mishra of the High Court of Orissa was transferred to Uttarakhand HC and Judge Manindra Mohan Shrivastava of the High Court of Chhattisgarh was transferred to the High Court of Rajasthan.

Patna HC Judge Ahsanuddin Amanullah was transferred to Andhra Pradesh High Court, while Bombay High Court Judge Ujjal Bhuyan was transferred to Telangana High Court.

Judge AM Badar of the High Court of Kerala is transferred to the High Court of Patna while Judge Arindam Sinha of the High Court of Calcutta has been sent to Orissa HC.

Judge Paresh R Upadhyay of the High Court of Gujarat is transferred to the High Court of Madras, while Judge MSS Ramachandra Rao of the High Court of Telangana has been transferred to the High Court of Punjab and Haryana.

Judges Yashwant Varma, Vivek Agarwal Chandra Dhari Singh and Ravi Nath Tilhari of the Allahabad High Court have been transferred to Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Andhra Pradesh HC respectively.

Judge Anoop Chitkara from Himachal Pradesh HC has been dispatched to Punjab and Haryana HC.

Considered one of the biggest reshuffles of recent times, the Justice Department has released a list of transfers and posts on Twitter.
